Labour Party Most Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 6.30pm
Canvassing evenings (see also home page). We meet at Owen House every Tuesday and Wednesday 6.30–8.30pm, up to December 16th and from January 12th onwards (unless we have a meeting booked in Owen House which is listed in these pages). Just turn up and you will be very welcome!

Labour Party November 21st (Saturday), Woking town centre
HELP STOP THE TAX CREDIT CUTS. Changes to tax credits will cost over 3 million working families £1,300 p.a. The Lords voted for chancellor Osborne to stop these 'reforms' until he comes up with a way of compensating low-paid workers for the three years until universal credit is brought in by 2020. Join us at the Woking Labour street stall in Commercial Way outside Foxtons Estate Agents from 11am till 2pm, or any time in between. We will be collecting signatures and leafleting.

Kevin Hurley, Surrey Police and Crime Commissioner, will give an update and an overview of policing in Surrey and answer any questions.

The NHS is facing a number of challenges and their November meeting will explore these challenges and what can be done about them.
Speaker Dr Thoreya Swage has several years' experience in the NHS both as a clinician in psychiatry and a senior manager in various NHS purchasing organisations covering the acute sector as well as primary care. Her last NHS post was Executive Director of a Health Authority with a remit to develop primary care services including GP commissioning and GP fundholding. She is also a non-executive director at Barts Health NHS Trust and Frimley NHS Foundation Trust and an associate at the Oxford Health Experiences Institute.
Labour Party Wednesday December 2nd, 11am-1pm
Women’s Forum - A bi-monthly all-female unique multi-lingual event with an invited speaker, where we talk in English, Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi about issues of social and national interest. Open to Labour supporters and also to those who are not at all sure what or whom they support! Just a forum for discussion and no obligation put upon you at all. We include a regular half-hour showcase given by a woman on a local business initiative and have home-made items and food for sale. Queries to Robina on 07855 027723 or Ambreen on 07794 833380.

Labour Party Friday Club Nights are every week except in August, from 7.30pm. Mike Roberts and his team cover the bar, and the conversation is – well, interesting, shall we say? – and maybe just a little political. Why not come? Oh, and the beer is the cheapest in town.
